I recently ordered this system and it is up to snuff,If you're seeking something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (

bose 321,etc! ) this is it

I have a small bedroom and wanted something to add to my $30.00 dvd player, and a 22'HDTV. It does the job, the sound is great for
what I want, not overpowering. A small qurk you can't adjust between left and right speakers, but that's very minor if you have longer
speaker wire and place them as far as you need to, other than that it'scool. ipod control is nice from the remote. A nice little unit for
a office, bedroom, college dorm, den etc! great sound if you're short on cash or you don't want to spend a lot of money for half the price.
No worky

Need a good system that plays MP3 discs? Here it is.

I bought this Sony system in early 2009 at a blowout sale at Circuit City when they were closing their doors and got it dirt cheap. I needed a system that plays MP3 CDs, since I was just getting into making MP3 discs at that time and my 300 disc changer and car CD players each don't play MP3 CDs. This system also allows you to attach an iPod to the top of the unit and play MP3 songs stored on the iPod through the unit's speakers.

This unit has very clear sound. In addition to playing MP3 CDs it also plays regular CDs, including burned CDs in WAV format, etc. As long as you properly name the MP3 songs on your computer when you're putting them on your hard drive prior to burning them onto an MP3 disc, the song titles will appear on this unit's digital display like a scrolling marquee.

The unit comes with a remote control, which requires two AA batteries. The maximum bass level is rather low, at 4. Personally, I don't care for heavy bass, but this is something you might put an importance on. It also has an AM/FM tuner with an antenna. You can preset your favorite radio stations. It also has a clock with a sleep timer and a play timer, the latter of which allows you to wake up to CD, radio, or iPod after you select a preset time.

All in all a very good product that isn't too expensive. It's a little unit that has powerful sound, good speakers, and best of all you can play all your 275-song MP3 discs that you worked so hard to make. Highly recommended.
A really good little unit

Given the price and the form factor this is a really good little unit. My objective was to find something small enough to fit in a shelf system, good quality sound and very easy to use.

There are no gimicks on this unit. CD (with MP3 support and CDRW), iPod connection which worked no problem with my iPhone 3GS (and fully controllable via the unit/remote) and a FM radio, which did well picking up the stations in crackle free stereo.

There has been alot written about the bass on this unit. Think about the size of the speakers and the price of the unit. You are not going to get kicking bass. But taking everything into account the bass on this unit is pretty good and easily beats iPod docking units in this price range.

The nice thing about the sound is even at loud volumes, the bass doesn't muffle the speakers and at low volumes you can still hear the bass. No it's not subwoofer bass and it's not going to be. And it doesn't (or can't) sound like a Bose system ... but then again I didn't want to pay that sort of money. The top and mid end of sound is also pretty good. Again at low volumes you can easily hear lyrics and there is alot of clarity.

I searched for months looking for something like this and nothing I tested in all the main stores came close to the sound this unit gives out and has the feature set at the given price range. Within hours of unpacking, my 5 year old was happly using this unit playing a CD I had just burn't full of his favorite MP3s. You can literally have this thing set up and go in about 5-10 minutes and it can be used by anyone!

Why 5 stars? Take into account the price (I paid $130), quality and features (in that order) there is nothing out there that beats this unit. I'm really statisfied with this purchase. I would highly recommend this unit.

Not as advertised

This is not as advertised. The iPod connection does not play. Everything is set up correctly, but my iPod does not play sound. Of course, the iPod works fine in any other mode, as well as docked on its' iHome. Also, the sound is very distorted in the CD mode. I think I should simply return this. What a waste!!!!
